Hello!
My name is Henriëtte, and I love creating!
It isn’t limited to drawing though, I used to be a professional wedding photographer and still enjoy grabbing my camera and discovering nature through my lens. I am also a bit of a dreamer, an undercover foodie, a self-confessed nerd, wannabe runner and always have too many ideas and just too little time.
Nature inspires me, and I am blessed to call a farm in the Lowveld my home. I love being able to pop into the Kruger Park at a whim!
Capturing the minute details of our natural world challenges and fascinates me – I always manage to learn something new I never noticed before.

I was blessed to be a finalist in the 2020 Wildlife Artist of the Year competition hosted by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. A part of the proceeds assist the foundation in the amazing conservation work they do worldwide.

In 2020 I gathered a few amazing artists and founded The Drawing Guild to promote the art being done in the dry mediums of coloured pencil, graphite, pastel, oil pastel and charcoal.
