My name is Henriëtte, and I love creating!
It isn’t limited to drawing though, I used to be a professional wedding photographer and still enjoy grabbing my camera and discovering nature through my lens. I am also a bit of a dreamer, an undercover foodie, a self-confessed nerd, wannabe runner and always have too many ideas and just too little time.
Nature inspires me, and I am blessed to call a farm in the Lowveld my home – a space I share with two almost-teenage boys, my very own Boertjie and a host of furry and feathered kids. While I do love capturing the minute details of our indigenous animals and birds, I find myself also drawn to places and am exploring my memories in soft pastel landscapes.
Thank you for stopping by – stay a moment and enjoy the world through my eyes. Have a question? Leave me a message or send me an email!
I was blessed to be a finalist in the 2020 Wildlife Artist of the Year competition hosted by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. A part of the proceeds assist the foundation in the amazing conservation work they do worldwide. It has inspired me to give back more. I will be doing my own Sketch for Wildlife Project to donate more to these efforts.
